During the first half of the 20th century, Xavier de Areny-Plandolit Gassó achieved outstanding recognition both nationally and internationally, turning Ordino into an important world center of magic.
The exhibition focuses on the book "The Wonders of Modern Magic", published in 1913 by Pau-Xavier, which serves as a starting point to explore this fascinating history. The exhibition presents a wide variety of objects, some of them original to our protagonists and others belonging to contemporaries, which illustrate how these shows were lived in their heyday. Magic was then one of the most popular forms of entertainment, drawing crowds to theaters and squares. Everything that will be shown in the exhibition really happened and you can discover it in the Era of the Raser, the exhibition hall adjacent to the Casa de Areny-Plandolit Museum and the Postal Museum.
