The mountains of Andorra offer many activities for all those who want to practice mountain sports, such as hiking. This is an easy activity suitable for everyone, which allows you to enjoy nature, reach wonderful places on foot and discover all the secrets that the mountains hide from us. There are itineraries all over the country and the options are diverse, as Andorra has three natural parks: the Sorteny valley, the Comapedrosa valleys and the Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2004.

Whether you are an expert or just starting out in the fascinating world of hiking and want to explore a little bit of the Pyrenees mountains on foot, don't hesitate to take a look at the following routes.

Rocafort Way (low difficulty)

The path that runs through it gives the hiker the opportunity to discover it from the Coll de Jou, going downhill, or from Aixovall, going uphill. The path passes through GRP which goes around Andorra. As soon as you start the route you come to a channel that you have to climb by holding on to a rope, with great care. Despite this small difficulty, it is considered an easy path, which leads to the Coll de la Manyiga, from where you can see the church of San Martín de Nagol (1048). Afterwards, the descent begins through a Scots pine forest with fauna and vegetation that will captivate you.

Serrat path (low difficulty)

This hiking route is also considered to be of low difficulty, and is only 1.3 km long. It is ideal for those who want to take a stroll and enjoy nature without the need to leave Andorra la Vella. As soon as you start walking, you will find a forest of oak trees. At the end of the route, there is the Serrat path that meets the Serrat Blanc.

Tristaina Lakes (medium difficulty)

The route to the Tristaina lakes is considered to be of medium difficulty, but suitable for all levels. The ascent to the first lake, from the Coma car park, is an easy section, and takes about 40 minutes to complete.

During this route to the Tristaina Lakes you can visit three surprising lakes: the First Pond, the smallest of all, but the one with the clearest water, the Middle Pond, surrounded by cliffs and hills and the largest of all, and the lake of Más Arriba, which has a circular shape and a characteristic high mountain glacial environment. If you decide to do this route during the summer, bathing is allowed, so don't forget your swimming costume!

El Cubil Petit (high difficulty)

The route starts at the Cubil car park, in the Grandvalira - Grau Roig sector. Further on, take the GRP northwest to the ravine. After this first section, we recommend you rest a little and gather your strength for the last ascent to the Cubil Petit peak, which offers exceptional views of the Pessons Cirque.

Comapedrosa (high difficulty)

The height of the peak makes this route a must for all those who want to enjoy an excellent viewpoint surrounded by abundant vegetation and with stupendous panoramic views of the Pyrenees. The start of the walk is from the Prats Soberanos forest path, following the GR 11 to the summit, where you will find the refuge.
